# e-Factura (ANAF)

> Connecting ANAF, who submits to SPV, which invoices are sent, the 5-working-day deadline and importing the invoices you receive.

**Settings → e-Factura** (in the **Fiscal & Compliance** group) appears only for organizations operating in Romania — the organization or at least one property has Romania as its country. For issuing invoices as such (provider, series, storno), see [Invoicing](/en/invoicing).

## Setting it up

<Steps>
  <Step title="Connect ANAF">
    Click **Connect ANAF** and sign in at ANAF with your digital certificate. Gridbeds never sees your credentials; the token is renewed automatically.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose the settings">
    **Enable e-Factura**, then, if you want, **Automatic upload on checkout** and **Automatic import of received invoices** (supplier invoices arrive as draft goods receipts). Check the **CIF** and the environment: **Production** or **Test**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Say who submits to SPV">
    Under **Who submits to SPV**, choose **Gridbeds (direct)** or **The provider (SmartBill/Oblio)**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  An invoice must reach SPV from one system only. ANAF does not remove duplicates: if both Gridbeds and SmartBill/Oblio submit, the invoice is there twice.
</Warning>

With several **Legal entities**, each Romanian entity has its own ANAF connection, on the entity's **Fiscal / e-invoicing** tab (**Connect ANAF**, **Enable e-Factura**, **Automatic upload on checkout**, **Who submits to SPV**).

## What is submitted

Issued invoices in RON from a Romanian issuer — including those to private individuals. Not submitted: proformas, drafts, invoices in another currency, and simplified invoices to private individuals below the legal threshold.

With **Automatic upload on checkout** the invoice goes at check-out; an hourly check submits whatever is still pending.

## On each invoice

In **Accounting → Invoices**, on each invoice: **Upload to ANAF**, **Retry Upload**, **Check Status**, **Validate XML**, **Download XML**.

Statuses: Pending Upload, Uploading…, Awaiting Validation, Validated, Rejected, Error, N/A.

The **SPV: \{days}d** chip counts the 5 working days allowed for submission (public holidays excluded); past it, it reads **SPV: \{days}d overdue**. When several invoices have problems, the "… invoices need fiscal attention" banner offers **Retry All**.

<Note>
  An invoice that is not sent to SPV — in euro, a proforma, or simplified below the threshold — is labelled "B2C Invoice", whatever the actual reason. The rule above is the one that decides.
</Note>

## Language

A Romanian company's invoices are written in Romanian: the e-Factura sent to SPV, the PDF and every line Gridbeds writes itself (the stay, fees, an advance and its reversal, a credit note's note, a tip or a delivery fee charged to the room, a no-show or cancellation charge), even when your organization or your screen works in English or Italian. What you type keeps your wording. The email that sends the invoice to a guest is in the guest's language; the attached PDF stays Romanian.

## Invoices you receive from suppliers

With **Automatic import of received invoices**, Gridbeds pulls the invoices issued to your CUI from SPV every hour and files them as draft goods receipts. They are in **Inventory → Supplier invoices**, where **Import from e-Factura** also starts an import by hand.

## Company details from the ANAF register

Wherever you enter a CUI — on an invoice, a billable party or a supplier — Gridbeds fills in the name and address from the ANAF register ("Enter the tax ID (CUI) and we'll fill in the company details from ANAF automatically.").
